Flood Requirements

Workshop Leader: Martha Howell

This session will present a comprehensive review of flood requirements involving real
estate loans. Areas to be covered include performing the flood determination, notification requirements for participating and non-participating communities, and timing requirements. An important area to be covered is what is required to be in place at closing. In addition, a review of calculating flood insurance for both residential and commercial properties will take place.

Condominiums have a special set of issues, which will be covered here. Also, the issue of escrow will be discussed, including when it is required. Content insurance requirements will be examined, and life of loan monitoring responsibilities will also be explored.
