Happy Retirement to Teresa Knox

afOn behalf of the Credit Union League of Connectitcut, the League’s Foundation (CUBFI) and Connecticut’s Credit Unions, we wish Teresa Knox, EVP/COO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union, the best of luck in her retirement.

A 2023 C-Suite honoree recognized by the Hartford Business Journal, Teresa served on numerous boards in the community and is immediate past chair of CUBFI’s board where she helped contribute to the growth and strength of the foundation over the last few years.

Teresa was active with the finacial reality fair program, volunteering at many events and helping others organize events of their own. The reality fair at Rentchler Field in March served hundreds of area students and raised awareness for credit unions in the area.

“I appreciate Teresa so much for her willingness to offer support and guidance in achieving the foundation’s goals,” said Dave Hinchey, VP of Community Impact for the League. “Teresa brought a business sense to the foundation board and a wealth of experience that helped us grow and expand our reach to high school students and credit union professionals.”

Back in 2019, CUBFI awarded Knox with a schoarlship to attend the National Credit Union Foundation’s development education program where she graduated in September 2019 and has sent others on staff through the program. She also received her FiCEP certificate in the foundation’s inaugural cohort in 2021.

Her work accomplishments include overseeing the move to their current headquarters on East River Drive in East Hartford, expanding the risk team to ensure they were appropriately staffed in key areas, including regulatory and fraud and a multi-year effort to implement ITMs at all the drive-thru branches to allow for greater member service. She also worked with the process excellence team to launch a companywide Initiative to rally the entire workforce in making the credit union more efficient, training every employee on process improvement methodologies.

Teresa is an avid skier and looks forward to traveling the country in retirement.

In 2023, she received recognition by the HBJ for the work she did at American Eagle, which you can read about here: https://www.hartfordbusiness.com/article/2023-c-suite-honoree-teresa-knox
